Re: Integrated Water Planning Task Force recs
All, we will be looking at making appointments to the Council Task Force on Community Engagement very soon, as well, and knowing how the process works (thanks, Shannon!) will be very helpful. I will have additional criteria to post here, under a new topic, that will help guide and inform your choice for appointment to the new TF. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Leslie

In response to CM Pool’s post requesting more info about appointment process:
The link to the web site set up for the IWRP Task Force can be found here:
http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/boards/resul ... bid=100176
In the past, interested applicant have filled out applications on the board and commissions site, and the Council Members made appointments under agenda item , "Approve appointments and certain related waivers to citizen boards and commissions, to Council subcommittees and other intergovernmental bodies and removal and replacement of members."
If a Council Member has an appointment in mind, the name be may be submitted to Deena Estrada in the clerks office prior to Thursday and she will place it on the boards and commissions appointment list. However, CMs may also nominate from the dais, typically during the reading of the consent agenda.
Please note that this is past practice, but I am not aware of any legal requirements governing this process. The applicable ordinance for the Task force can be found here:
