New Revenue Allocation Proposal at 5¢ (Laine, Siegel, Ellis, Qadri)

Dear colleagues,

After consulting with a broad array of stakeholders, and with the goal of building a proposal that can win a strong supermajority of Council support, we’ve developed a 5 penny proposal that reflects both the urgency of this moment to invest in our city’s future and our shared responsibility to be careful stewards of public funds.

Importantly, this proposal contains a 4-year outlook that enhances and funds City programs and services through fiscal year 2029. We also maintain a minimum 17% reserve throughout all four years.

We look forward to discussing this proposal and adopting a budget in the next few days. Thank you all for your dedication to this great city!
