8/29 - National League of Cities Resolution

Post by Vanessa Fuentes »

Colleagues,

I will bring a resolution during the August 29th Council meeting to nominate members of our Council to the Federal Advocacy Committees of the National League of Cities. Councilmember Pool, Councilmember Kelly, and I currently serve on the Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Committee, Public Safety & Crime Prevention Committee, and the Transportation & Infrastructure Services Committee, respectively. Councilmember Pool will be rolling off her committee, and Councilmember Qadri has expressed interest in serving on the Human Development Committee. Please comment on this post if you would like to be nominated to continue to serve on your current committee or if new members would like to be nominated to join a committee.

Yours in Community,

CM Fuentes-

Thank you for bringing this item forward. I would love to take MPT Pool’s spot on the Energy, Environment & Natural Resources Committee.

Thank you, CM Fuentes, for inviting me to co-sponsor this resolution.

I would like to continue my service on the Public Safety & Crime Prevention Committee, where I currently serve. I also currently serve in a leadership role in Women in Municipal Government. I look forward to contributing further to these important areas.

Warm Regards,
