Audit and Finance Committee Agenda Plan

Post by Alison Alter »

Dear colleagues,

On November 12, 2024, the Audit and Finance Committee will meet to take up the following items:

Item #1. Approval of the minute from the October 9, 2024 meeting.
Item #2. The re-appointment of Dr. Kelly Crook to the City of Austin Employees Retirement System board.
Item #3: The Community Development Commission and Community Technology and Telecommunications Commission proposed bylaws amendments.
Item #4: Approval of the 2025 Audit and Finance Committee meeting dates.
Item #5: A briefing on the employee reimbursements audit.
Item #6: Update on resolution relating to the Austin Fire Department’s overtime costs.
Item #7: Update on Program Enhancements Pilot for Local and Small Business Procurement Programs.
Item #8: An executive session relating to cybersecurity items including a penetration testing audit, prior audit recommendations, and FY25 budget item 16 related to contract efficiencies.
Item #9: Identification of items to be discussed at future meetings.

To accommodate schedules, we’ll be hearing the briefing from AFD first and then we will enter executive session regarding the cybersecurity items. Upon conclusion of the executive session, we will then be returning to the dais to address the remaining items. As always, I invite you to join us if you’d like to participate.

Best,

At the request of our CFO, we will be postponing the AFD overtime item #6 to our December AFC meeting. On Tuesday, we thus will take up agenda items starting at 9:30 AM and break for the cyber security executive session at 10 AM and then return to open session to complete outstanding items.
