Council Work Session 4/30/24

Council:

I want to let you know that I will be off the dais for the Work Session on Tuesday, April 30th. Mayor Pro Tem Pool will preside.

The U.S. Conference of Mayors has asked me to serve on a Task Force of Mayors focused on addressing homelessness. The Task Force will be in Washington D.C. meeting with White House officials and Members of Congress. FYI, a key focus of the meetings will be housing vouchers and creating more flexibility in their use.

While in D.C., I have also scheduled work related to transportation. Another FYI (and you may already know) --I’ve been appointed to serve as the Vice Chair of the USCM Standing Committee on Transportation. I’m the Vice Chair for Multi-Modal Transportation. However, my scheduled transportation work on this trip is specific to Austin.

I look forward to being on the dais for our City Council meeting on Thursday, May 2nd.
