3/25 - Item 66

Post by Steve Adler » Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:15 am

Colleagues,
I would like to thank CM Fuentes for bringing item 66 for the Council’s consideration and for her co-sponsorship on item 111. After the recent memo and presentation at work session regarding the COVID spending framework, which highlighted that vaccine distribution costs are 100% covered by FEMA, I am offering a small amendment:

Mayor, thank you for offering the friendly amendment. I agree that it is essential to highlight the opportunity for the City Manager to utilize this type of FEMA assistance available for reimbursement and that our direction is consistent with Item 111 (Framework for the American Rescue Plan) as we strive toward making the vaccine, and other critical services, accessible to all.
