June 1 IFC on Austin Light Rail Implementation Plan

Colleagues –
The Austin Transit Partnership Board of Directors yesterday forwarded the staff recommendation for the Austin Light Rail Implementation Plan for adoption by the City Council.
I am bringing an IFC for the June 1 meeting, and the attached resolution will be posted tomorrow as part of the addendum. We will also have an item posted on the May 30 work session agenda for a staff presentation and council discussion on the light rail plan. On June 6, we will hold a joint public meeting with board members from Cap Metro and ATP.
Resolution: http://assets.austintexas.gov/austincou ... 65401.docx
The recommended alignment — 38th Street to Oltorf to Yellow Jacket with priority extensions to Crestview and the airport — reflects the feedback provided by thousands of Austinites who participated in an extensive six-week public outreach process. It is also consistent with the recommendation of the Community Advisory Committee. The public will also have an opportunity to comment at the June 1 City Council meeting.
Please reach out to Robert Goode or Annick Beaudet if you have any questions.
Best,
Kirk
