Amendments for the April 13th, 2023 Council Meeting

Post by Mackenzie Kelly »

Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. As we prepare for the upcoming council meeting on April 13th, 2023, I would like to submit the following proposed amendments for consideration.

This first amendment for consideration directs the City Manager to explore possible partnerships with community partners in regard to financing, staffing, or technical assistance for the project.

Item 47 - Amendment 1: http://assets.austintexas.gov/austincou ... 111224.pdf

This second amendment for consideration includes three additional clauses. The first directs the City Manager to include specific details regarding the pilot program and return to the Public Health Committee. The second directs the City Manager to explore more expansive diversion centers. Finally, the third clause directs the City Manager to explore specific criteria for evaluating the success of the program.

Item 48 - Amendment 1: http://assets.austintexas.gov/austincou ... 160252.pdf

My final amendment directs the City Manager to launch and conduct a public awareness campaign that engages residents that visit Rainey Street with the intention of reminding residents to have personal awareness and act with awareness of their surroundings.

Item 77 - Amendment 1: http://assets.austintexas.gov/austincou ... 161030.pdf

Thanks for your time and consideration of these amendments.

Warm regards,

-mk
