Colleagues,

On December 1st, we will be considering adoption of the City of Austin's Federal Legislative Agenda for the 118th Congress. Here are a number of items I would like to suggest we add to the federal agenda and plan to draft as formal amendments:

Public Health:
-Codify the Roe v Wade abortion access standard.

Mobility and Infrastructure:
-Create federal incentives for electric bike purchases.
-Support expansion of passenger rail service on the Amtrak Texas Eagle corridor from San Antonio to Fort Worth.
-Add pedestrian safety metrics to federal vehicle safety ratings.

I may identify additional federal legislative priorities prior to our meeting on December 1, and I invite you all to post your ideas for amendments to this thread as well.

Best,
Paige Ellis

Colleagues,

I have prepared a motion sheet for item #27, the Federal Legislative Agenda for the 118th Congress.

It is my firm belief that the amendments I am bringing forward to our Federal Legislative Agenda will bring additional value to the residents of Austin.
