8/17 Budget Meeting
Posted: Tue Aug 16, 2022 5:07 pm
Colleagues,
We have about 60 speakers signed up thus far for tomorrow's meeting (with kiosk registration closing at 9:15am), so I propose we allocate each speaker 1 minute. We should then take up any action items that can be disposed of quickly before the budget vote (e.g., election and bond items).
We will then take up the budget. We'll first allow Council Members to ask very quick questions to staff to provide any necessary clarifications on their amendments. I suggest we then take up major budget amendments first (e.g., $20 living wage) so we have a better sense of how much funding is available for other amendments.
