As the City of Austin's representative to the Coordinating Committee of the Balcones Canyonlands Conservation Plan, I'm pleased to note the upcoming meeting set for May 27 in Council Chambers, and to invite all to attend.

4. Receive a report from the Coordinating Secretary regarding proposed construction of State Highway 45 Southwest and potential ramification for BCCP Compliance. Take action as needed. – Secretary, Members
5. Brief Members about Procedures used by public service infrastructure owners, including Pedernales Electric Cooperative, to access BCP properties for routine and specialized maintenance – Secretary
6. Brief members about actions taken by the Coordinating Committee Secretary regarding the proposal for an access road across BCP by Leander Independent School District – Secretary
7. Brief Members about the status of the BCCP Karst Substitution Process being developed by the Coordinating Secretary as a recommendation for new Coordinating committee policy - Secretary
8. Report from Scientific Advisory Committee by Jean Krejca, Chair
9. Report from Citizens Advisory Committee by Peter Torgrimson, Chair
10. Receive reports from BCP partners on wildfire planning and actions; take action as appropriate – Secretary, BCP Partners
11. Receive reports from BCP staff regarding land management, Public Outreach, BCP Participation, Infrastructure Management, and BCCP compliance.

The BCCP Coordinating Committee Meeting originally scheduled for May 27, 2015 has now been rescheduled to June 3, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. We are still confirming location but it will likely be in City Council Chambers.
