Colleagues,

It is my intention to co-sponsor alongside MPT Garza the attached resolution to honor the legacy of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Her legacy of work in the areas of equality and social justice are unprecedented As the ACLU of Texas tries to coordinate a statewide effort to recognize Justice Ginsburg’s contributions to advancement of equity, and to celebrate her unselfish dedication to the law, I would like our Council to resolve to publicly proclaim our commitment to protecting her legacy. Please join in honoring the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Because we have such an awesome amount of women on our council, we would like to open sponsorship of the item to everyone.

Kind regards,

NHM

I don’t own Dissent Earrings for nothing! Ruth Bader Ginsberg leaves an impressive legacy that few will ever surpass, and she did it quietly, without fanfare, with humility and humanity.

Please add my name as a co-sponsor on the upcoming resolution recognizing and appreciating Justice Ginsberg - Notorious RBG! - for her lifetime of achievement and particular importance in assuring gender equity under the law.

Thanks so much for bringing this item!

Best,

Leslie
