Re: Concerns about ALPRs (Item #67)

CM Siegel, Thank you for drafting this analysis of our license plate reader program. While I understand the public safety function of these cameras, I also have serious concerns about implementation now that we have this data. Our residents have the right to privacy and freedom of movement. Thank yo...

Re: I-35 Common Sense Caps Plan from CM Ellis, Siegel, Laine, Duchen, and MPT Fuentes

Colleagues, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the City staff for their extensive time and effort on this, and to my colleagues for their thoughtful dialogue. This is a significant decision, and I believe it is essential that the process remains inclusive and participatory, with as much input as ...

Re: WUI Code Annual Report

I strongly support this direction, which is a great example of data-driven public safety policy. Wildfire mitigation is an extremely complex issue which requires intensive study and communication, and I am grateful to you for your leadership on this topic.

Thank you,

Re: Single Stair Amendment

Colleagues, I’m excited that we’re moving forward on the single-stair issue—it has been a long time coming. After the extensive public testimony and the vocal support from many of my colleagues, I won’t repeat the well-articulated arguments around affordability, flexibility, and access to light and ...

Re: List of Council Committees and Regional Appointments V4

If interest in the Austin/AISD/County Joint Committee still exceeds available seats, I can step back. Whenever possible, I’d like to be included in invitations for meetings and briefings, as well as other info shared with appointees, so I can remain in the loop until space becomes available for me t...

Re: Updated List of Council Committees and Appointments

Colleagues,

I would like to step back from Audit and Finance Committee and the Economic Opportunity Committee to make more room for my colleagues.

Instead, I would like to serve on the Mobility Committee and on CAMPO.
