May 17 Work Session

This posting is to address the work session schedule for May 17.
The Council has the opportunity to attend/participate in a stakeholder roundtable with the Secretary of Transportation who will be in Austin the morning of May 17. (This is a week prior to the City’s submittal of our final Smart City Mobility Challenge application.) I propose that this event be held in Council Chambers because of its capacity and the visual opportunity presented, beginning at 10 am for an hour. Thereafter, there will be a press availability from 11 to 11:30 am, at which Council could also be present.
Since May 17 is a work session day, I would propose that our regular work session on May 17 begin and be noticed at 1 pm that afternoon.
Please let me know if anyone has any concerns.
