Colleagues,
Below is an attachment for direction that I am proposing for item 111 concerning the emergency shelter at the Marshalling Yard. These directives are in line with recent conversations we have had as a dais about investing in results and creating meaningful accountability to ensure we receive the level of service promised by applicants. This direction also includes instruction that should any of the approved funding go unspent that it return to help finance permanent supportive housing. Lastly, the direction asks for quarterly updates on this shelter, which will hopefully be part of a larger update on our shelter capacity needs, but we are not posted for that broad of direction.
I look forward to the discussion tomorrow and am happy to address any questions or concerns here on the message board ahead of our consideration of this item.
