Charter Review Commission

Post by Ryan Alter »

Colleagues,
In early March we passed a resolution establishing a Charter Review Commission and asked for the body to start its work as early as practicable. One of the lessons learned from previous Charter Review Commissions was the need to deliver recommendations early enough for the community and Council to consider them.

With this most recent Council Meeting, we have now appointed enough commissioners to establish a quorum. I would like to encourage any Council office that has not yet nominated a member, to please do so as the commission’s work will benefit from the representation and thoughtfulness of a full eleven member body.

Sincerely,
Ryan

Thank you for your leadership on this, CM Alter. I have made my selection and will be appointing my commissioner at the 7/20 meeting.
