Dear colleagues,
As a subquorum, we support starting from the staff base motion and amending from there. As a group, we are proposing roughly $5.46M in additional amendments that would still maintain room under a 5 penny tax rate increase and maintain a healthy reserve fund for the next four years.
Our proposed amendments are as follows:
Restore AFD Overtime. $2.26M. (CM Ellis)
Restore benefits for part-time employees. $100K. (CM Ellis)
Fund Feasibility Study for 2026 Bond Library Branch Projects. $350K. (CM Ellis)
Fund RHDA compliance & enforcement. $100K. (CM Siegel)
Restore Office of Police Oversight funding. $260K. (CM Siegel)
Support Food Pantries in Title I Schools. $300K. (CM Siegel)
Fund Re-Entry Workforce Development. $1M. (CM Siegel)
Shower Operations at Charlie Center. $27K. (CM Laine)
Core Public Health Grants at Risk - HIV & STI testing. $100K. (CM Laine)
Mental Health Response Units / Collaborative Care. $953K. (CM Laine)
Look forward to the discussion,
CM Laine
