Sept. 20 Meeting - District 10 Zoning Case Postponement

Post by Alison Alter »

Dear Colleagues,

At the Aug. 9 Council meeting, Case C14-2018-0044 was postponed at the applicant’s request and has been set for the Council meeting on Sept. 20. This case is in District 10 and is one where the staff and the neighborhood are united in *not* recommending the applicant’s request for CS zoning, recommending LR zoning instead. The Zoning and Platting Commission will be reviewing the case tomorrow evening.

When the case was postponed, I spoke from the dais saying I would be traveling on city business in September and was unsure whether I would be missing the Sept. 20 meeting, but that if I was absent, I would be requesting a postponement. Since that time I have confirmed that I will indeed be missing the Council meeting on the 20th while traveling on city business. I cannot postpone that item outside of a Council meeting, so I would like to publicly make this postponement request. I would greatly appreciate if each office could indicate whether or not you will support postponing this item at the Sept. 20 meeting. My office has informed the applicant that I am making this request.

Thank you,

Colleagues,

I'd also be supportive of Council Member Alter's request to postpone the item until she's soonest able to return to the dais.
