POTENTIAL CUTS

Revenue
AISD
Automobiles and other passenger vehicles (16,440.32)
Grounds maintenance: mowing, edging, planting (34,270.08)
Studio equipment: furnishings, record and tapes (350,000)
Cable construction, installation and maintenance (321,318)
These items are non-direct services to for educational purposes to kids of AISD. It’s important to fund items pertaining to education for kids at this point of this budget cycle. These deductions is a good start to balance the budget. (722,028.40) in FY16

Uses
ED1.01 Increase the funding provided to the 3 minority contractor associations (150,000) FY17
•Compile a list of commodity codes the city regularly purchases or has high demands for and make it available to minority bidders;
• Assist members clean up their commodity codes to mirror those used in city solicitations;
•Review city solicitations and identify trade summaries relevant to members' registered commodity codes for distribution;
•Assist the city's Certification Department to follow up with those minority vendors whose certifications are about to expire;
•Work with Small Business Minority Recruitment to clean up contact database;
•Work with staff to start data automation and improve data transparency.
•Customize bid invitations from prime bidders by trade summaries and relevancy to certified vendors;
•Work with Small Business Minority Recruitment to obtain 1st tier or 2nd tier subcontractor information for bid submissions by
•members; and
•Training Classes (Capacity Building)
