10:00 am Opening Remarks, Mayor Adler

10:05 am Overview
- Sylnovia Holt-Rabb, the Assistant Director, City of Austin Economic Development Department, will describe the role of the City of Austin.
- Alan Miller, Executive Director, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, will describe the local workforce development system and current efforts to address workforce needs of employers and job seekers.

10:30 am - Key Policy Issues
- Community voices (identified in collaboration between staff and Council)
- Each gives a 5 to 7 minute presentation on a key policy consideration

How can we address the growing disparities in education, employment and income in the City of Austin and the region? How can we close the skills gap? What role could the City of Austin, Austin Community College and other organizations play in closing the skills gap?
