May 2 Meeting
Posted: Wed May 01, 2019 9:00 am
Colleagues,
Thursday afternoon, beginning at 1 pm, we will pick up where we left off last week and finish discussing and voting on amendments to the answers and direction the Manager requested.
As we’re picking up where we left off last week, and may only have three or four hours to complete our work, I would not anticipate taking any public testimony on Thursday, unless it is the will of the Council otherwise. (Note: we took public testimony on this matter each of our two Council meetings in April, and there will be multiple opportunities for public comment when staff brings back to the community a recommendation in the fall.)
Thank you to staff for quickly putting together a document that was meant to capture the base motion/direction, as amended last week, as well as a list of the amendments that were tabled and which we’ll discuss on Thursday. If anyone thinks there are errors in these documents, please post notice of such errors on the message board (hopefully, before close of business on Wednesday so our colleagues can best prepare for Thursday).
Once again, it is suggested that if council members have new proposed amendments or want to modify the amendments that we tabled or “pinned” last week, please post those proposals on the message board by the close of business on Wednesday so that our colleagues can prepare for Thursday. Note: we have imposed no limits to the amendments that can be urged, or even requests to re-visit what we did last week, but notice by at least the night before Thursday’s council meeting would be helpful.
