Colleagues,

The appreciated the discussion at work session on the Health South property, and I also appreciated how many of us are in agreement that this property can potentially leverage significant amounts of affordable housing. I am open to multiple paths forward to get us to that goal. For that reason, I've included 3 options below for an amendment to add to the end of the first Be It Resolved. The goal is to have full information about how we can provide the most affordable housing in places where we really badly need it.

Option A)
Respondents should propose on-site mixed-income housing, and respondents should be allowed the option to maximize Strategic Housing Blueprint goals through off-site affordable housing, preferably within 1 mile of Downtown, in addition to their on-site proposal.

Option B)
Respondents should propose on-site mixed-income housing, and respondents should also be allowed the option to maximize Strategic Housing Blueprint goals through off-site affordable housing, preferably within 1 mile of Downtown.

Option C)
Replace "preferably within 1 mile of Downtown" in Option A or B with "in a centrally located area with limited affordable housing options, or in an area that has experienced significant gentrification and displacement."
